Pecan Wheat Bread

| 2 cups whole - wheat flour | 2-1/2 cups all - purpose flour |
| 5 teaspoons baking powder | 2 teaspoons baking soda |
| 1-1/2 teaspoons salt | 1 cup brown sugar |
| 3 cups sour milk or buttermilk | 4 tablespoons salad oil |
| 1-1/2 cups chopped Pecans |
Pre heat oven to 350° F. Stir unsifted whole - wheat flour into sifted all - purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift together. Stir in 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar. Add sour milk or buttermilk and salad oil; stir smooth. Add Pecans. Pour into 2 well - greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° F., about 80 minutes.
