Heart-Healthy Pecans not just for Pies anymore.

New research confirms antioxidant-rich pecans protect against unhealthy oxidation in the body
 New research from Loma Linda University (LLU) shows that adding just a handful of pecans to your diet each day may inhibit unwanted oxidation of blood lipids, thus helping reduce the risk of heart disease.  Researchers suggest that this positive effect was in part due to the pecan’s significant content of vitamin E. 

Study Finds Pecans May Lower Cholesterol
Two nutrition researchers have found that eating as few as 3/4 cup (68 grams) of pecans a day, either from out of hand or in a recipe, may significantly reduce so called "bad" LDL cholesterol and help prevent heart disease.
